Do Felt Right Tiles Reduce Sound Transmission Through a Wall?Updated a day ago

Felt Right tiles are designed primarily for sound absorption and will significantly reduce echo and noise within a room. While we have not yet formally tested their Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating, many of our customers have shared positive feedback about how the tiles have made their rooms noticeably quieter and more comfortable.

STC is a measure of how well a material blocks sound from passing through walls, and since we haven't fully quantified this, we want to be cautious not to over-promise in this area.

In certain circumstances, Felt Right tiles can help reduce and muffle sound transmission from adjacent spaces. It is important to note that felt tiles will not entirely eliminate sound transmission from adjacent spaces.

✅ Summary:

  • Helps muffle noise from adjacent rooms

  • Reduces echo and improves in-room acoustics

  • Not a substitute for full soundproofing
